Our products are manufactured inside correctional facilities, utilizing inmate labor. All of Silver State Industries' programs are self supportive, and actually return money to the state, thus lowering tax dollars needed.

Nevadaworks' service area includes the northern Nevada counties of Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey, Washoe and White Pine. In addition, it includes workforce and labor market areas that may have an impact on the workforce system in northern Nevada.
Nevadaworks is the only agency that coordinates workforce development to meet the needs of employers in northern Nevada. Nevadaworks does this by understanding the work place requirements of employers and economic development agencies and then works with educational institutions, public and private providers, and state and local agencies to craft necessary training elements for individuals.
